Uzhgorod officials were deciding where to relocate the bus stop at the BAM

The First Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod Istvan Tsap, specialists of the department of transport, public procurement and communications of the city council, the acting head of the road safety sector of the patrol police office Oleksandr Kovalchuk, deputy of the city council Serhiy Vartsaba went on the ground to decide where to relocate the waiting lot for Uzhgorod buses at the last stop near the University at the BAM.

They found out that the stop near the building of UzhNU is arranged only on the side of the university, and on the other side there is just an expansion of the road due to curvature. Recently, private homes have appeared there and parked buses block the way for their owners’ cars, make noise and garbage around.

After inspecting the surrounding area, they came to the preliminary conclusion that the best option is to return to the scheme approved in 2013 by the decision of the commission, according to which the waiting lot for buses should be slightly higher on the right side of the climb to the university, on the parking lot, where now cars are parked. This issue will be studied in more detail.
