The exhibition “Wooden temple architecture of Transcarpathia in the works of Vasyl Svalyavchyk” opens today

On June 9, artist Vasyl Svalyavchyk will present a solo exhibition of thematic works in the Transcarpathian Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life.

The canvases depict millennial heritage of spiritual culture of the region. Using the artistic language, the artist seeks to remind about our duty – to preserve the memory of ancestors, because it contains a deep layer of spiritual culture, people’s everyday traditions, celebrations and rituals of the native land.

Vasyl Svalyavchyk is an Honored Artist of Ukraine, winner of the regional Y.Bokshay and A.Erdelyi prize in the field of art. His works are kept at the NUAU, in museums of Ukraine and abroad, and in many private collections.

The exhibition opens at 16.00, – the museum informed.
