Today, in the halls of the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum, there was the presentation of the jubilee collection of works of the famous painter, founder of the Transcarpathian school of art Adalbert Erdelyi – in honor of the 125th anniversary of the artist to be marked on May 25.
The exhibition was opened by the Head of the Culture Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Victoria Frolova, who congatulated the museum staff on the professional day and noted the importance of their work, because they carry us into the world of beauty. This time the regional museum workers also prepared for the International Museum Day and the "Museum Night" a number of attractions, of which this exhibition is one of the most notable ones.
According to the director of the museum, 130 works of A.Erdelyi (mostly – paintings) are exhibited, not only from the museum collection, but also from private collections that, he admitts, were rather hard to collect, but the result is worth it: the exhibition is quite coherent and representative.
Those wishing to see the exhibition will have an opportunity to do it during the campaign "Museum Night" on 21 to 22 of May, which, recall, will start at 18.00, and around 21.00, there will be a concert of the academic chamber choir "Cantus". The anniversary exhibition of A.Erdelyi will run for three weeks.
