Getting alcohol in Uzhgorod will be more difficult

In Uzhgorod, selling alcohol at night time will be banned.

Today, members of the executive committee voted for this decision. According to it, retail of alcoholic, soft drinks and beer (except alcohol free) from 23.00 to 07.00 shall be banned in stationary trade facilities, kiosks, stores with cafeteria, except restaurants.

The executive committee members recommend Uzhgorod Police Department to carry out constant monitoring of compliance with this decision within their powers.

The decision was made in accordance with Article 30, Part 6 of Article 59 of the Law of Ukraine "On local government in Ukraine", the Law of Ukraine "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine to limit consumption and sale of beer and soft drinks", "On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl, cognac and fruit alcohol, alcoholic beverages and tobacco ", the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 30.07.1996 №854 "On approval of Rules for retail trade in alcoholic beverages" to streamline trading activities in the city, prevent violations of public order at night and taking into account the numerous complaints of the city residents. – the official page of Uzhgorod city council informs.
