Ancient music with a modern drive on the main stage of the region (Announcement)

The IV International Festival "Music without Borders" in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic continues. During this time, several completely different programs have already been shown on the main stage of the region: from academic solo singing to vocal and choral genre, from sacred music to folk, jazz and western, from the Ukrainian Baroque to the world opera classic. The geography of the festival participants includes Uzhgorod, Lviv, Kirovohrad and Kyiv. The guests from the south of Ukraine will add some original notes to this music map:

April 17, the ensemble "PRACHT CONSORT" from sunny Odesa will perform ancient music in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. The ensemble consists of winners of international competitions Andriy Pracht (harpsichord), Olena Richter (soprano), Natalia Scriabina (mandolin) and Lyudmila Glebova (harpsichord). The musicians named their program "Ancient Instruments – Modern Drive" and presented it with great success in many cities of Ukraine. The concert will feature "La Bell Fyne" by an unknown author of 16th century (1521), three arias for voice with instrumental accompaniment by G. Caccini, two concertos for mandolin and basso continuo by A.Vivaldi, Suite D minor for harpsichord by H.Purcell, Cantata "Pastorella" for voice and instrumental accompaniment, "Venice Hermitage" for mandolin and harpsichord by T.Bedetti and Cantata №80 by Handel. The artists use in their performances Baroque instruments – old German harpsichord, baroque and Portuguese mandolins. And, of course, the most versatile instrument – the human voice.   The name of the ensemble "PRACHT CONSORT" means "great harmony". We have a good opportunity to hear it with our own ears. The concert starts at 17.00. The presenter Katerina KERECHANYN.
