“Zakarpathaz”: currently, the decision on introduction of the subscription fee has not been adopted

One of the many questions, which representatives of the media and the public in the region often ask the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC, still has no clear answer: the decision on the introduction of the subscription fee and its amount has not been officially adopted by the National Commission for State Regulation in the Energy and Utilities.

The National Regulator postponed the adoption of the decision regarding the introduction of a fixed subscription fee until the enactment of the Methods for determining and calculating tariff for natural gas services and the establishment of tariffs for transportation (for entry and exit points located on the territory of Ukraine) and distribution of natural gas, based on the capacity. So the corresponding Decree of the National Commission dd. 25 February 2016 has not currently entered into force.

However, as reported last week (see the site of the "Zakarpathaz Zbut" Ltd.), the Decree of the CMU №234 dd. 30.03.2016 (provides for amendments to the Decree of the CMU dd. 10.01.2015 №758) sets the price for all residential customers in April 2016 in amount of 7.188 UAH per 1 cu. m.

So, the retail price of natural gas for households from 1 to 30 of April, 2016 amounts to 7.188 UAH per 1 cu. m.

Once the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Commission decide on the determination of the price of gas solely as a product and separate the component, which is now paid by each consumer for the transportation and distribution of natural gas, – the Deputy Chairman of the "Zakarpathaz" JSC Oleksandr Holub comments. – the decision on the introduction of a fixed monthly fee for connection to the gas distribution system will be adopted.
