The celebration in honor of the anniversary took place in the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theater. Both experienced actors and young members of the theater studio performed on the stage at the concert, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.
On the occasion of the triple holiday – its 35th anniversary, the International Day of Puppeteer and International Day of Theater – the staff received numerous awards.
Since its establishment, "Bavka" has been formed by many masters of the stage, and the theater itself, in turn, has formed many generations of kids. Showing theater art to children is probably the most fascinating and yet the most responsible task for the actor. First, catching and keeping the attention of children audience is not an easy task requiring tremendous artist skills to transform both externally and internally. Second, puppeteers have to make kids become interested in theater so that this interest will remain with them in adulthood and that today’s children will attend "adult" performances tomorrow and bring their children to the puppet theater. Therefore, the first theatrical experience largely determines the interest of viewers in theatrical art as such.
"Bavka" approached its anniversary with the galaxy of talented actors, the repertoire of fifty productions based on plays of regional authors, national and world classics, unique in Ukraine festival "Interlyalka", prestigious awards and vast touring experience, and also an interesting publication about the history and present of the theater, which was presented recently.
