Destroyed wall near the castle, a hole in the pavement and piles of stones – welcome to Uzhgorod!

The wall of the lane connecting the castle stairs and the Greek Catholic cathedral now looks like a ruined fortress. Looks like someone needed stones, and they began to dismantle the wall.

Additionally, at the bend to the castle stairs, which, recall, are listed in the Record book of Ukraine as the longest colored staircase, there is a threat to pedestrians in the form of a deep pit. Though it is "covered" with two sticks and a bag, but in the dark, without street lighting, one can trip on it.

And that’s not all. Going down (or up) the "colored" stairs, be careful. There are many large stones all along the stairs. And who knows how securely they hold there…
