As uzhgorod.in announced, on March 18, at the premises of Academic Chamber Choir "Cantus", at Ruska st., 3, there was the opening of an exhibition of works from the International Salon of Art Photography.
According to the organizers, in total, about 700 photographs (black and white and in color) by 90 photographers from 30 countries were presented to the jury of the salon. 104 works in various categories were awarded. 35 selected works from the salon were brought to Uzhgorod, the Department of Culture of the Tarnscarpathian RSA informs.
The selection was presented by Dr. Sandor Pathrus, the head of the World Organization of Hungarian Photographers. He said the organization founded in 2002 now has 153 artists not only from Hungary but also from France, the United States and other countries, and called Transcarpathian photographers for cooperation. After all, it is an interesting exchange of professional experience and creative ideas, which allows to organize joint exhibitions and open-airs.
Also, in the hall nextdoor, there is the presentation of the results of "IX International Carpathian Photo Plein Air" that took plce in the autumn of last year in Svalyava district involving members of the Union of Photographers of Transcarpathia and colleagues from Slovakia and Poland.
Both exhibitions can be viewed for three weeks – every weekday from 10.00 to 15.00.
