Ukrainian fencers Dmytro Karyuchenko won the round of U-23 series, held on March 12 in the Polish city of Gliwice.
Uzhgorod fencer Anatoliy Herey also took part in the competition and took the 8th place. It should be noted that selection of fencers to Ukrainian national team that will go to Rio de Janeiro to defend the honor of the country at the Olympics is currently ongoing.
In the play-off tournament, Dmytro Karyuchenko consistently beat six rivals – Poles Felix Fras and Philip Bronisevski, Italian Amedeo Norris, his teammate Anatoliy Herey, another representative of Poland Daniel Markol and Romanian Tetian Bolbocianu.

The next competition for our musketeers, including the fencer from Uzhgorod will be the World Cup round in Budapest on 17-20 of March.
