The observatory on the Pip Ivan mountain has received a generator from the Poles

The  two-day Ukrainian-Polish seminar on the restoration of the astronomical observatory on the Pip Ivan mountain took place in Yaremcha. Specialists of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University and Polish experts discussed the possibility of the renovation of the building often called as the "White elephant"Their first decision concerned the renovation of the wall to avoid stonefall. They agreed upon to equip the Chornohora rescue unit and to introduce a 24-hour duty there. In addition, the experts decided to rebuild the flat roof the former weather station.At another meeting, the preparation for the upcoming scientific work of the specialists was discussed. The delegation of from Krakow presented a 7 kW generator to the university. It will be used in the observatory.
