In Svalyava, wind toppled a tree on a car

On the night of January 12, in Svalyava, on Holovna Street, a tree fell as a result of harsh weather conditions and strong winds.

The incident occurred in the courtyard of a five-storey residential building. The pine branches damaged two cars parked at the curb – "VAZ 2109" and "VAZ 2112". At 2:58, the owner of one of the damaged cars reported about the fall of the tree to the operational and rescue service.

Officers of the 9th State Fire and Rescue Unit arrived at Holovna street to eliminate the consequences. Rescuers quickly sawed off 4 cubic meters of wood and dragged it to a safe place. Already at 3:22, the work was completed.
