According to the Transcarpathian Hydrometeocentre, in the morning and afternoon on January 7, in the eastern district of Transcarpathian region (particularly Velyky Berezny, Volovets, Mizhhirya, Tyachiv, Rakhiv and Khust districts), heavy snow is expected. During January 7-9, ice covering will remain on the roads in most of the region.
Due to the intensification of cyclonic activity from west, during January 10-11, 2016, heavy, sometimes very heavy rains are expected in Transcarpathian region, in the mountains – wet snow in some places, increasing the temperature to 0 to +7 ° C, on January 10-12, water levels on the rivers of the region will increase by 0.5-1.5 m, in lower reaches of Borzhava and Latorytsia – by 1.5-2.5 m, ice drifting, formation of ice jams near bridges.
