Mountain villages in Transcarpathia will receive school buses to replace those that were seized to the ​​ATO area

   The purchase of school vehicles to replace those that were seized for the needs of the ATO will start at the beginning of the year. In total, in Transcarpathia, during several waves of mobilization, 20 school buses were seized, in particular in a number of mountain villages in Velyky Berezny, Volovets, Rakhiv and Tyachiv districts.
 

– Due to lack of buses, children in some mountain villages have to walk 3 – 4 kilometers in the dark every morning to get to school, sometimes even through the forest. At the beginning of the year, we will start to remedy the situation. The funds provided for the purchase of buses will be allocated at the rate of 50 to 50. One half will be covered with the educational subvention from the state budget, the other half – from local budgets (including the regional one). First of all, we will purchase school buses to replace those seized to the ATO zone. In addition, school buses will be provided for other villages where it is difficult for children to get to school. In total, during this year, 44 school buses will be purchased at the expense of state and local budgets in Transcarpathia, – the head of the region Hehadiy Moskal reported.
