Although the version of diversion is not considered, the gas pipeline that was burning in Khust district will be checked

As previously reported, on January 1, a gas pipeline in Khust district got inflamed.

The current version of the cause of the explosion and fire is soil subsidence. However, the pipe is being carefully checked.

During the visual inspection of the "Soyuz" main gas pipeline, it was found out that depressurization had occured along a circular weld seam, which will be submitted for examination to the Institute of Electric Welding of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Department of Public Relations of the "Ukrtransgaz" PJSC reported.

"According to the central dispatch department of the national gas transportation system operator, during the visual inspection of the pipeline, it was found out that depressurization had occurred along a circular weld seam, which will be submitted for examination to the Institute of Electric Welding of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine," – it is said in the statement.

Recall that on January 1, at 9:55, the operational-rescue service of Transcarpathia was reported about a depressurization in the underground section of the main gas pipeline "Soyuz" near the village of Horodylovo in Khust district in Transcarpathia.
