On Thursday, December 17, with the blessing of His Eminence Theodore, Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod, with the support of the charitable center "Save and Protect" at the Orthodox Holy Holy Cross Cathedral of Uzhgorod, two events dedicated to the Day of St. Nicholas took place.
In the afternoon time, volunteers of the center visited the exhibition hall of the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, where the opening of the exhibition of works by amateur artists with disabilities of the Transcarpathian regional center of social and labor rehabilitation and vocational guidance "Choice" took place as part of the charitable and artistic event "World without borders". With the assistance of the charitable center "Save and Protect", a delicious dinner for more than 50 people was made.
And in the evening, a charity event dedicated to Saint Nicholas Day: "All together, let’s give children a holiday" took place in the center. For more than a month, the campaign to make the wishes of children with special needs from the Medical and Social Rehabilitation Center "Way of Life" was taking place in the Internet. With the active participation of the city residents, this year they could have made dreams of 82 children come chidren.
The holiday for children with disabilities was attended by the Catholic clergy headed by the Archpriest Dimitry Sidor, children with disabilities, their parents, and the head of the "Save and Protect" center Maria Hychka-Sidor.
