In recent years, people in Uzhgorod, as well in other cities of Ukraine, have been celebrating Halloween. Most people regard it not as a holiday but rather as a costume party. To escape from everyday hustle and to be creative by wearing something bright and… frightening.
This year is no exception, although, in comparison with previous years, there were original costumes. This is not surprising, because opinions of Uzhgorod residents differ: some believe that there is nothing wrong Halloween, others perceive it as a sort of mockery of those who passed away. Because in Transcarpathia, this day is the Remembrance Day.
