A car "VW" model "Golf", the registration number plate of Hungary, year of release – 2001, driven by a citizen of Hungary arrived at the customs control area of the checkpoint "Dzvinkove" of the Transcarpathian customs office.
The foreigner chose the customs control in the "green corridor" lane.
During the customs inspection of the vehicle and the citizen’s personal effects, customs officers found tobacco products hidden from customs control, namely cigarettes "Lifa Menthol Super Slim" without excise marks labeled "For duty free only" in amount of 1500 packs and cigarettes "Compliment Super Slims 5" without excise marks labeled "For duty free only" in amount of 2400 packs.
The citizen of Hungary recongized the found tobacco products as his property. He explained that he had concealed the tobacco products from customs control himself, was moving them across the customs border of Ukraine to Hungary in order to sell them.
These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, under the report on violation of customs rules, the tobacco products and the vehicle estimated at more than 60,000 UAH were confiscated.
