As we reported, Uzhgorod deputies of the City Council (now candidates from the "European party") are campaigning at the women’s clinic. The OPORA also recorded the violation, noticing the same poster in the windows of the Housing Area №5.
On 8 Bereznya street in Uzhgorod, observers of the OPORA detected printed campaigning materials for candidates from the "European Party of Ukraine" to Uzhgorod city council in prohibited places.
At the entrance to the women’s clinic №2, which is a municipal institution, there is a poster with symbols of the "European Party of Ukraine." The leaflet features a candidate for deputy Anatoly Kovalsky and a candidate for the city council and the mayor – Ivan Voloshin.
The same leaflet is placed at another municipal institution – ME "Housing Area №5", which serves as a local housing department. It should be noted that Anatoly Kovalsky is the manager of this municipal institution.
Ivan Voloshin is the first deputy mayor. Both candidates are current deputies.
In the above facts, the OPORA observers see signs of gross violation of the law – placement of printed campaigning in state and municipal instittutions is prohibited. In addition, managers of state or municipal institutions may not use the resources at work for their campaigning.
The observers reported both cases to Uzhgorod city election commission and the city police.
