Infant and TB-related mortalities in Uzhgorod have increased

This year, infant mortality rate in Uzhgorod has increased more than twice – from 6.5 to 14.5 ppm.

The tuberculosis-related mortality rate has increased from 6.12 to 7 ppm.

Medical industry of the city still suffers from underfunding.

As of October 1, only UAH 61 million has been allocated for health care, while the target is UAH 71 milllion.  Funding of medical programs is even worse: for immunoprophylaxis – 9.5%, for diabetes – 76.5%, for cancer – 23.3%, for medical support of disabled and war veterans – 57%.
