The issues of registration of candidates in Mukachevo and Vynogradiv are being decided in courts

Candidate for the mayor of Mukachevo Irina Chubirka filed a lawsuit in court to cancel the registration of candidates for the same office with the same name – Baloh Berti and Baloh Berlaton. According to the plaintiff, these people made inaccuracies in their autobiographies and failed to specify some information in their income statements.

The plaintiff, in particular, argued that candidates did not indicate in their autobiographies the information about social work in elected positions and made errors in income statements. Therefore, she demanded to cancel their registration as candidates for the mayor of Mukachevo.

October 7th, the two cases were considered in the Transcarpathian District Administrative Court. During the two hearings, it was revealed that these candidates had not indicate the information about social work in elected positions as it had never happened. As for the inaccuracies in the income statements, the judges concluded that this fact can not be the grounds for cancellation of registration of the candidates; the inaccuracies can be fixed.

In the end, after hearing the arguments of the plaintiffs, the defendants and the head of Mukachevo city election commission, judges of the Transcarpathian District Administrative Court denied Irina Chubirka in her claims in both cases.

So now both Berti Baloh and Berlaton Baloh are participants in the election of the mayor of Mukachevo. The plaintiff has time to appeal. 

October 6, Yevhen Yaryna filed a lawsuite to Vynogradiv district court compaining that the city election commission had not registered him as a candidate for the mayor from the party "Zelena Planeta" because he had been nominated by the regional rather than the city conference of the party. At the hearing on October 8, the court did not uphold Yaryna’s lawsuit. So, according to Yevhen Yaryna, his lawyers will challenge the ruling of the court of the first instance on appeal.
