Minus one. One of the “potential mayors” was removed from the list of candidates

According to the OPORA, candidate for the mayor of Uzhgorod Boris Borisov was removed from the list of candiates. The reason is simultaneous nomination from more than one political forces or from a political force and by self-nomination.

The self-nominated candidate for the mayor of Uzhgorod Boris Borisov also filed his candidacy for deputy of the City Council from the "Party of Motherland Defenders", thus violating the law, according to which a candidate has the right to run for various positions either from only one party or by self-nomination.

Therefore Uzhgorod TEC, at the meeting on October 6, cancelled Boris Borisov’s registration as a candidate for the mayor and for deputy ov the City Council.
