In Tyachiv district, employees of the operational and investigation units of the Main Office of the SFS in Transcarpathian region found and seized in one of the settlements 20,600 bottles of alcoholic beverages.
The bottles of alcohol had excise tax stamps of Ukraine with obvious signs of forgery. The estimated cost of the seized excisable goods is UAH 1 million 150 thousand.
The measures to counter illicit trafficking of excisable products were carried as part of the operation "Excise – 2015" and operational-investigative activities related to the investigation of the criminal proceeding registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations for a crime under Part. 1 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigative activities were carried out under the ruling of Uzhgorod city and district court.
For example, at one of the addresses, 1,100 bottles of alcohol products of domestic production were found and seized.
Another example, as a result of the inspection, 15,022 bottles of brandy, wine, and vodka were found and seized.
It should be noted that all confiscations were made in the same village of Tyachiv district.
Currently, investigative activities are on-going.
