Social benefits, pensions and public sector wages will be increased on September 1.
This was stated by the Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, – the 5 Channel informed.
According to the head of the government, the current law envisaged that these figures would be increased on December 1, but the government and the President decided to accelerate the process. So, starting September 1, the minimum wage will be 1,378 UAH, pension – 1,074 UAH.
"The current law envisaged that the minimum wage and living wage would be increased on December 1. But we have been working hard to find the financial resources and to increase the minimum wage and living wage for Ukrainian starting September 1, and the decision was made. The total financial resource required to increase wages, pensions and benefits amounted to about 10 billion hryvnia – and we have found it. The minimum pension will amount to 1,074 UAH, the minimum wage, which is now 1,218 UAH, starting the first of September this year, will amount to 1,378 UAH", – the Prime Minister said.
