Tomorrow, August 30, the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theatre opens the new 35th theatrical season. It is a jubilee, and therefore it will be rich with bright and important events – the puppeteers promise.
The first of them is the production "Singing Pig. Almost a detective story," which will be present already this Sunday at 11.00 and at 13.00.
The next premiere will take place on September 20. It will be the play "Nibbly-Quibbly the Goat" based on the fairy-tale by the known Transcarpathian writer Vasyl Husti.
Along with the novelties, this season, the audience will be able to enjoy a repertoire of almost fifty productions.
Always welcomed event for fans of theatrical art – the International Festival "Interlialka" – this season will be held for the fifteenth time. From 1 to 4 of October, leading theater groups from Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Cherkasy, Kyiv and foreign guests from Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria will be presenting their works.
Another grand plan that the Transcarpathian puppeteers will be implementing soon is the international project "Travelling puppets." Under this project, professional theaters of Transcarpathia and Kosice self-governing region will prepare a show for children, which will represent the common cultural heritage of Ukraine and Slovakia.The grant project will be implemented for almost 2 years with partial assistance of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism International Border Cooperation Program, the department of culture of the RSA informs.
