A 100-meter-long flag of Ukraine was carried along the streets of Uzhgorod on the occasion of the holiday in honor of state symbol.
The route of the solemn procession started near the theater, and the culmination of the event took place on the Hill of Glory.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the government, military and citizens of the city and the region.
Carrying a giant flag, people were chanting slogans in honor of the state and its Heroes.
At the place of burial, they paid tribute to the defenders of independence of Ukraine with a moment of silence, bowing their heads and kneeling near the graves of the ATO participants.
Ceremonies and celebrations continue in the city.
Location of volunteers has deployed on Nezalezhnist embankment – the campaign Photo of a Patriot and a charitable lottery are taking place there.
And a number of interesting events is planned for tomorrow, the most important holiday in Ukraine.
