Jog with a light! UZH LIGHT RUN will be held in Uzhgorod

People will be running on the streets of our city illuminated by the light!

This Friday, August 21, the first great sports event "UZH LIGHT RUN" will be held in Uzhgorod. In order to popularize the sport among youth, the event organizers – the Youth Initiatives of Transcarpathia and the Athletics Federation of Transcarpathia – invite everyone to participate in a night race. The participants will run the distance of 2.5 km (one lap) and 5 km (two laps). The route will run along the embankment between the vehicle and the pedestrian bridges. During the event, the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers will hold a charity lottery, the proceeds from which will be used to help soldiers of the ATO.

Registration for the night race will start at 21:00 at the Transcarpathian Regional Music and Drama Theater. All contestants will be provided with neon bracelets. Also such elements of the dress code as colored lanterns, flash LEDs and other colorful items are welcomed.

All the participants of the race will receive mementos, trophies, medals, certificates and many good impressions and emotions – the organizer of the event Denys Sobol said. And the winners of the "UZH LIGHT RUN" among women and men will receive cash prizes and vouchers to participate in the 4 km race on the streets of Budapest to be held on September 27 this year.
