Since 2007, Transcarpathia has received 50 projects totaling 16 million euros for the ENPI CBC program "Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine." Only part of the funds has been used. Thus, 7.55 million euros has been allocated for the project "Modernization and reconstruction of checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Slovak border", including 3.6 million euros to the Transcarpathian customs office. While on the Slovak part of the border in Vysne Nemecke, the works are in full swing, on the Ukrainian part nothing has changed. For the reconstruction of the Ukrainian part of the checkpoint "Luzhanka-Beregsurany," the Transcarpathian customs office received 2.9 million euro, but there are no noticable changes there too. Another project for the reconstruction of the checkpoint "Dyakovo-Holmeu" at the expense of the EU has never been implemented. In May, the Romanian partners refused to continue the project with the Ukrainian party.
