Transcarpathian schoolchildren will have more foreign language lessons

Starting the first of September, the number of foreign language lessons in the educational institutions will be increased.

According to the Department of Education and Science of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, by the Order of the Ministry of 07.08.15 № 855 "On amendments to the Model curricula of secondary schools", the number of foreign language lessons shall be increased:

1) from 2 to 3 a week in 6th – 9th grades of schools with Ukrainian language of instruction (new standard);

2) from 2 to 3 a week in 8th grade of schools with Ukrainian language of instruction (old standard);

3) from 3 to 3.5 hours in 10th – 11th grades of secondary schools with Ukrainian language of instruction (universal profile).
