22 children – sons and daughters of combatants in eastern Ukraine – arrived yesterday, August 1, in Beregovo district, in the hotel complex "Helicon" to rest for a week and get acquainted with the history of the region. All costs related to the stay of children in Transcarpathia assumed the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod and Beregovo, together with the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Lviv Larysa Malekh.
"Hungary this summer provides free recreation for 600 children from all over Ukraine, including children of the ATO participants – the head of the Consulate in Beregovol Endre Salipski told the Holos Karpat. – Every Sunday, a group of 60 people comes to the picturesque place near the Velence Lake, where for one week we provide an interesting leasure program for them. The organization of leisure for children from Lviv in Transcarpathian region is our additional contribution to the program."
Children have already checked into cozy double and triple rooms with all amenities.
"It is very nice here, people are friendly, in short, the first impressions are the best – teachers of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs Katerina Kostovska and Irina Yevkhutych, who are accompanying the group, say.
The assistant of the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Lviv Igor Shkulyar is also satisfied with everything.
"We will try to create for our little guests all conditions for a pleasant stay – Tiberiy Birov joins the conversation.- We prepared for children interesting trips to neighboring Nyiregyhaza, where they will visit the popular in Europe zoo and water park, Beregovo museum, Mukachevo Castle, visit the thermal waters in Kosyno. We hope that boys and girls from Lviv region will like staying here."
