A young Uzhgorod football player passed away…

The final whistle is blown. The game is over. Rest in peace…

Yesterday, July 29, a young Transcarpathian football player Oleksandr Dzyamka passed away.
On August 17 he would turn 24 years old. 
Oleksandr was a student of Uzhgorod children’s sport school of Olympic reserve, for which he played from 1998 to 2008 under the direction of Oleksandr Philip and Mykhailo Ivanytsia. He participated in Children Football League of Ukraine in age groups U-14 to U-17. 
He began his career in adult football in the FC "Dubrivka", then FC "Ruski Komarivtsi" in Uzhgorod district championship. For several seasons he played for the FC "Serednye". He played for the FC "Uzhgorod" in the championship of the region for one year. His last club was FC "Borzhava" Dovhe, which played in the top league of Transcarpathia.  
On January 16, 2015, Oleksandr Dzyamka was injuried in an accident in the Slovak city of Zilina , after which he was hospitalized in a local hospital. In spring, he was transported to Uzhgorod city hospital. After a long stay in a coma, his heart stopped.
We all knew Oleksandr as a very good man and a real friend. We express our sincere condolences to the family and relatives of Oleksandr.
The burial of Oleksandr Dzyamka will be held on Friday, July 31, at 12.30, at Kalvaria.
