The modernization of checkpoints on the Slovak-Ukrainian border will be extended until the end of the year. The reason is a delay in the process on the Ukrainian side.
The procurement procedure, which was to be held on June 16, was canceled. Also, there are difficulties with updating crossing points on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border. This project was initiated in late 2013 and was palnned for two years.
Currently, the Hungarian National Police proposes to extend the project until the end of the next year. In particular, it is planned to conduct examination of construction documents, to hold the procurement procedure.
As to the Romanian-Ukrainian border, the Romanians refused to continue the project for modernization of the checkpoint "Dyakovo-Cholmeu."
