A suspicious suitcase, which was found near the police department, was empty (PHOTOS)

This morning, around 10.30, the police received a report of a suspicious object on Rakoczy street in Uzhgorod, opposite the administrative building of the regional police department.

The investigative team of Uzhgorod city police, explosive experts, cynologist with search dogs, the police management arrived at the scene.

Law enforcement officers fenced off this crowded streets with warning tapes, blocked vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

The suspicious object was an old suitcase. First, it was examined by a dog, then by explosive experts.
 
Fortunately, the suitcase was empty. The investigation will establish how it ended up near the administrative building of the police department. Meanwhile, the police once again urge citizens to be alert and report on suspicious items.
