What’s going on with the “Owl’s Nest”?! (Photofact)

Frankly, the staff of the Uzhgorod.in are shocked. Haphazard and often criminal approach to the historical heritage of the city reached one of the main "highlights" of Uzhgorod. Some strange work has begun at the "Owl’s Nest".

Apparently, it can be stopped right now by the police, because there have been no reports of the commencement of work nor the passport of the project. But there are builders. And some strange… stationary ladder, which has been put on the territory of the architectural monument. Where any interventions without special permission are not allowed.

Members of the community Transcarpathian Heritage, who root for preservation of historical sites of the city and the region, are also outraged:

"The unauthorized construction in the protected zone of the monument of national importance "Owl’s Nest" in Uzhgorod is growing. The renter of the site – Serhiy Farkash – commenced the construction without the permission of the Ministry of Culture and other permits, without even waiting for the privatization of the land.  

Recall that approval of construtions in protected zones of monuments of national importance is within the competence of the State National Cultural Heritage Protection Service of the Ministry of Culture. "

Uzhgorod.in publishes photos of the "crime scene" and requests the appropriate bodies to consider this piece an official appeal.

We are waiting for explanations from the municipal authorities. And response from law enforcement agencies!
