Vasyl Hubal initiated the establishment a working group, which has to speed up the allocation of land for the ATO participants who have applied for land in Uzhgorod
In the regional center, there are 568 such applications from soldiers, less than a hundred of them have been granted.
On Monday, June 22, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration convened a meeting to address issues of land allocation to the ATO participants and their families in Uzhgorod. The meeting was attended by representatives of regional departments, Uzhgorod and Uzhgorod District authorities, departments of the State Land Committee and the military.
Stressing the importance of granting ATO participants’ application, the head of the RSA said: "We need to remove the tension concerning the allocation of land in Uzhgorod and find common solution. There is a progres in cities and districts of the region, but in the regional center, this process should be sped up. This is why invited you to the meeting. But I want to hear not only the information and reports, but also propositions."
According to Volodymyr Tokar, the head of the State Land Committee in Transcarpathian region, in total in the region, 2271 applications for the allocation of land have been filed by servicemen, who take (took) part in the ATO, and their families. Of those, permissions for the development of land management projects for 1058 land plots have been granted, 241 of which have been approved. In Uzhgorod districts, 1238 applications have been filed, including 568 to Uzhgorod city council. 92 applications in Uzhgorod are in the process of consideration – nine families of killed ATO participants have been granted permission to develop land management projects for allocation of plots for construction and maintenance of residential homes, and the same goes for 83 applications of the ATO participants and their families.
The Secretary of Uzhgorod city council Bogdan Andriyiv complains that there is not enough available land in Uzhgorod. He informs that they appealed to the Ministry of Defense about the land under the military unit on Gagarin street, but so far they have not received an answer.
Vasyl Hubal quoted the letter from the Ministry of Defence received in response to the request of the regional government about the possibility of allocation of free land of military units. The Ministry of Defense is establishing a commission and already appointed their representative, and the head of the RSA, in turn, asked to appoint representatives of municipal and district authorities and the State Land Committee.
Right at the meeting, the head of the region ordered to establish a working group, which should meet at least once in two weeks and present concrete results, not declarations. And today, bodies of the State Land Committee, services in districts and in villages should start determining territories which have prospects in this matter and submit the information to the working group. By the way, concrete propositions on granting applications of the ATO participants must be prepared by the next session of the City Council.
