Can Uzhgorod crack Polish “hard nut”? (Announcement)

Today, a big handball match will take place in Uzhgorod, and sport fans are invited to support our team.

"Ukraine’s women team will play a play-off match for the World Cup with the Polish team. The team of Poland is a hard nut to crack, so our girls need the support of fans very much" – civil activist Yuriy Svitlyk writes.

The beginning of the game is at 1:00 Sports complex "Yunist" (1st hall). The admission is free. 

To note: Play-off round consists of two matches – home and away. The winner is determined by the sum of the two matches, the difference of scored and missed goals is taken into account. Ukraine will hold its home match in Uzhgorod.  The second leg will take place in Poland on June 13-14.  

Ukraine’s national team has played with Poland 6 times. Ukraine won four times, Poland – twice.  Goals difference is also for Ukraine: 137 – 122.
