As part of measures to combat illegal migration, border guards of the department "Velyky Berezny" detained four illegal immigrants from the African continent.
Around midnight, border guards received from local residents the information about unknown persons moving towards border. As a result of search activities, at a few hundred meters from the Ukrainian-Slovak border, "green berets" detained four offenders. The men who were heading to Slovakia had no documents and explained that they were citizens of Somalia. Also, the detainees informed that they intended to get to Slovakia to obtain asylum.
Currently, operational and verification activities are ongoing. The offenders were taken to the border guard unit for identification and drafting administrative procedural documents. Their further fate will be determined by the court.
