Ode to Joy (VIDEO)

Today, May 30, on Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod, pupils of children’s music schools from across Western Ukraine did a cultural flash mob.

First, one girl came on the stage and began to play "Ode to Joy" by Ludwig van Beethoven on violin. Then she was joined by other young musicians and the melody, that became the anthem of the European Union, was played in full force.

Then the children played a few more pieces, thus giving a wonderful outdoor concert for all Uzhgorod residents and visitors.

As they explained to a correspondent of the korzonews, the event was held as part of the contest of young musicians, held these days in Uzhgorod. Children not only from Uzhgorod and Transcarpathia, but also from the Lviv and other cities of Western Ukraine, were performing on the stage.
