A Transcarpathian was sentenced to two years for evading conscription

A resident of Velyky Berezny district was sentenced to two years for evading conscription during mobilization

By the verdict of Velyky Berezny District Court in Transcarpathian region, the Transcarpathian was convicted of a criminal offense under Art. 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of mobilization) and sentenced to two years imprisonment with exemption from punishment on probation for a period of one year under Art.75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to Velyky Berezny District Prosecutor Ivan Tsar, the pre-trial investigation established that the man, being duly notified, failed to report to the military commissariat on the specified date and did not explain the reason. Moreover, having no legal grounds for exemption from mobilization, he personally wrote the refusal from mobilization.

During the preliminary investigation of the criminal proceedings, on April 28, the prosecutor of Velyky Berezny district and the suspect concluded the agreement on recognition of guilt.
