Money supply in Ukraine has decreased by 10%

In March, the monetary base in Ukraine increased by 0.1% to UAH 332 billion, the money supply fell by 10% to UAH 1.022 trillion.

This is stated in the report of the National Bank of Ukraine, the "UNIAN" informed.

According to the regulator, since the beginning of the year, the monetary base has decreased by 0.4%, while the money supply during this period has increased by 6.8%. During March, the volume of cash outside banks increased by 0.3%, and since the beginning of the year – by 0.6% to UAH 284.8 billion.

As reported, in February, the monetary base in Ukraine increased by 1.5% – up to UAH 331.6 billion, the money supply – by 21.5% to UAH 1.138 trillion. The volume of cash outside banks in February increased by 3.5% – up to UAH 283.8 billion.

In 2014, the money supply increased by UAH 44.851 billion, or 4.9% – up to UAH 953.846 billion, the monetary base – by 8.5% or UAH 26.055 billion – up to UAH 333.194 billion.
