On April 9, in Uzhgorod, Easter eggs in the style of pop art were presented near the mini monument to Andy Warhol (Zhupanatska st.).
Students of the department of tourism of UzhNU presented the Easter eggs that were created based on the work of the famous Rusyn Andy Warhol. During the month, they painted over one hundred eggs in the style of pop art.
The organizers of the performance were a famous sculptor Mykhailo Kolodko and a tourism expert Fedir Shandor.
"The main goal of the event was to show that the Easter egg is not just a tradition, but a whole new art direction. Now, Andy Warhol Easter eggs were created by students, and in a year, this presentation may take place with the participation of professional artists who are interested in pop art" – the organizers said.
The fence around the mini-monument to the famous artist was decorated with Easter eggs made of paper, and the best works were exhibited in wicker baskets.
Art expert Roman Pylyp selected the best works for exhibition in the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, the prozak wrote: "There are no authors of ancient Esater eggs, Easter egg is a collective work. Young people have tried to create something new, original, and my job is to keep and promote them."
