In Uzhgorod, artillery shells and a mine were found

On March 19, in Uzhgorod on Bolharska street, several explosive items were found.

The suspicious objects were found by a local resident during earth works on his yard.

Pyrotechnic experts of the special purpose rescue squad arrived at the scene to dispose of the ammunition. They took two artillery shells of 125 and 152 mm caliber, as well as an anti-tank mine TMI-43 of the World War II period. All dangerous objects were disposed.

Transcarpathian rescuers once again urge citizens to be careful and cautious during excavation works or walks in the woods, because at any time a person can come across the echoes of war. If this occurs, do not touch suspicious metallic object or move it to another location. It is strictly forbidden to try to defuse the explosive yourselves. Instead, mark the location and inform the authorities, local government, police or call the emergency service 101.
