22 attempts of transportation of psychotropic drugs have been prevented at Transcarpathia customs checkpoints

Units of the Transcarpathian customs office have revealed 22 cases of illegal movement of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors. Of those, 14 facts have been revealed by the department of risk analysis and combating customs offenses.

"Pseudoephedrine", "LSD", "Buprenorphine", "Codeine", "Tramadol" – for some people, those are just names of some drugs, but for certain categories of people, those are quite understandable names of precursors, psychotropic substances and narcotics. Some "hot" cases solved by the unit to combat illegal trafficking of drugs and weapons are not always informed to the public promptly. The reason is that the detection and elimination of drug and psychotropic substances trafficking channels, like a game of chess, requires grossmeister moves, takes a long time, and its participants are representatives of several law enforcement agencies.

Within two months of 2015, in the area of the ​​Transcarpathian customs office, the following substances have been seized: 23000 pills of "Pseudoephedrine" weighing 1360 grams; 2417 pills, 5 bottles of medicines containing narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances; 0,039 grams of LSD; 1400 pills of "Buprenorphine" weighing 11.2 grams; 32 pills of "Codeine"; 140 pills of "Tramadol."
