Four Uzhgorod residents were burgling houses in Mukachevo district

Three boys and one girl from Uzhgorod aged 13-20 years were burgling houses in Mukachevo district villages.

The first house, the burglers broke into by picking the lock, was located in the village of Zaluzhzhya in Mukachevo district. They stole from there money (hryvnia and euro) and jewelry.

Three weeks later, the burglers returned to Mukachevo district, this time to the village of Lalovo. Having broken the door, the burglers stole 9,000 UAH, two gold rings, a chain with a pendant, earrings and a bracelet.

While they were planning another burglary, four young people were noticed in one of the district villages by the village head, who informed the police. On the same day, all four were arrested by officers of Mukachevo Criminal Investigation Police.

The suspects confessed to having committed the thefts. They named the pawn shops in Uzhgorod where they had sold the stolen gold products. 

The criminal proceedings have been initiated over the burglaries under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (burglary).
