A Ukrainian tried to import from Hungary to Ukraine a 20-year-old "Opel Vectra" with counterfeit documents. he decided to cross the border at the checkpoint "Luzhanka" of the Transcarpathian customs office.
As a citizen, who is not carrying anything prohibited and hiding nothing from customs control, the Ukrainian chose the "green corridor" and presented all the necessary documents for inspection. However, the customs officers had doubts about the validity of the power of attorney for the right to use the car. To confirm or refute their doubts, they sent a letter of request to the notary specified in the documents submitted for customs clearance. As a result, the notary replied that he had not certified the power of attorney and that this document was forged.
Thus, the citizen of Ukraine moved the car across the customs border of Ukraine by submitting to the customs office a forged document: authorization for the use of the vehicle.
These actions contain signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the car was seized, its value is being established.
