The tragedy occurred on February 14, in Transcarpathia, near the railway station in Svalyava, when a man was hit by a commuter train №6505 "Mukachevo-Stry-Lviv." The 21-year-old man was hit because he did not hear signals made by the driver of the train. The victim suffered serious injuries: traumatic brain injury, blunt abdominal trauma, fractured pelvis.
Officers of the transport police found out that the 21-year-old boy tried to cross the track in a prohibited place and did not respond to siren of the train.
The transport police officers are conducting the investigation into the incident, all the circumstances of the events are being established.
