Contraband was found in a fuel tank and a freight car

Yesterday, February 11, Transcarpathian customs officers found contraband tobacco products in the fuel tank of a car "Volkswagen Sharan" and in a train car transporting pellets.

In particular, yesterday, a Romanian arrived at the customs post "Ďakovo" of the Transcarpathian customs office by a car "Volkswagen Sharan". During the customs inspection, 48 blocks of cigarettes were found in the fuel tank of his car, including 47 blocks of the Russian-made "Viceroy" and 1 block "Kent" made in Ukraine.

Thus, the Romanian committed actions to transport goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control, using specially made cache.

Currently, the vehicle was seized and a report on violation of customs regulations specified in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine was drawn up against the citizen.

The second case of cigarette smuggling detection occurred at the railway checkpoint "Salovka" of the Transcarpathian customs. Thus, during a joint customs and border guard control of a train which was loaded in Poltava and going to Hungary, 6 boxes of foreign-made "JIN LING" without Ukrainian excise stamps were found. The tobacco products were packaged in cardboard boxes and plastic bags and hidden in the pellets, which were transported in the train. Currently, the cigarettes were seized and the train went on its way.
