Last year, 4374 Transcarpathians applied to central government bodies – the President, the government and the parliament. To regional authorities – 13224 persons.
The number of applicants in 2014 increased by almost 6%. 88% of those, who appeal to the government for assistance, indicate their social status of poverty.
The largest proportion of appeals to the supreme power is from residents of Rakhiv – 14.3% and Khust – 10.7% districts.
The major issues, with which citizens are turning to the government, are the issues of social security – 68.3% of the total, municipal and road economy, landscaping – 4.2%, residential issues – 4.2%.
Most of the low-income citizens received financial assistance from the regional budget. In 2014, 1831 low-income residents of the region, who appealed to the Regional State Administration, were given from the regional budget financial assistance in the amount of 1,212,000 UAH.
