January 25 in Ukraine is declared a day of mourning

Due to the tragic loss of civilian lives in Mariupol on January 24, 2015 as a result of massive shelling of residential areas by terrorists, the President of Ukraine Poroshenko declared January 25 a day of mourning. The corresponding decree № 30/2015 was signed by the President last night.

The memory of victims will be honored at 12.00 with a minute of silence.

On buildings and structures of state agencies, local governments, state enterprises, institutions and organizations throughout the Ukraine, the State Flag will be at half-mast.

Also, the document stresses the need to cancel entertainment and concert events, sporting events, to make appropriate changes to television and radio programs.
