Warning – scammers!

Volunteering is a noble cause, but there are people who, under the guise of volunteers, try to take advantage of others. Popular Mukachevo volunteer Natalia Zotova wrote about such persons on her Facebook page.

"Recently, I’ve been often approached by directors of various Mukachevo institutions, enterprises, trade establishments with reports about people posing as representatives of the volunteer organization "Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers" (Mukachevo) turning to them for financial assistance for the ATO. They were concerned about the fact that people call and ask for money and not for anything else. However, they can not explain what exactly the soldiers need, where they are deployed, give contradictory answers. But they assure that they work with Natasha Zotova, name various charities. So, today when I was asked once again to clarify the situation, I thought it was time to put it for public discussion. 

Dear residents of Mukachevo! I firmly declare that our movement is based on a voluntary basis. The principle of our work is to work hard, to gain the trust of the people with honest work, to be as open and transparent as possible. We, in Mukachevo, do not call companies asking to transfer money, do not send out letters with such requests and do not ask to set up boxes. If people want to help, they find us and help with whatever they can. And for this we thank them heartily. 

However, if the situation in the country does not stabilize, and one day we have to unite again, I can assure you that I will be calling personally with proposals of cooperation and will always find time to meet and answer all questions. In the meantime, please be careful not to become victims of unscrupulous people who use the achievements of others to their advantage.
